Il ètait une fois (once upon a time) in January 2020 I wanted to buy one of those fancy French bag to carry my camera, and my umbrella, to walk the streets of New Orleans. I could not afford it; not even a used one. So for some reason I decided to make my own with leather and canvas. Unbeknownst to me I didn’t realized where this hobby will take me. By the time I made my first bag the Corona virus pandemic had just started. I went to my neighborhood bar and my friends were asking: “where did you get your bag”? Quite proud of myself I said “I made it”, posted it online and the orders started to come in. I used my stimulus check to buy my first good tools and sewing machine capable to handle the thick canvas. I went to the “YouTube” university and learn the basic of the craft. And practiced and practiced.

This website is not solely a showcase of bags and photographs. It’s about a new direction in my journey and a place: Pigeon Town, New Orleans. The first time I came to the city it was for the storm “Katrina” as a new photographer. I kept coming back to finely move in 2013. This is possibly the best move I ever done. I was lucky enough to land in the Pigeon Town neighborhood and found my neighborhood bar The Carrollton Station where I met some of the finest folks. They welcomed and accepted me in the way the New Orlenians know how to do it: “Hey Babe! what ‘ re you drinking?”. They say if you love New Orleans, New Orleans will love you back. I know that to be true.
